The Clean Project - Kitsap / Donations/Volunteering

Donate Today to Help People Experiencing Homelessness

Why Donate?  A large percentage of operating funds for many of these organizations comes from public grants. It takes time, effort, and money to write a grant proposal. Wouldn’t it be great if these organizations received enough donations that they wouldn’t need to apply for public grants! You can be part of that dream!

No donation is too small. If you are able, please select the “Recurring Donation” option. All donations are distributed among the organizations unless you decide which organization(s) will receive your donation.

You may donate online (preferred) or by check.

If you donate online (see the link below), and want to steer your donation in a specific direction/directions, please make your wishes known in the “Additional Notes” section of the donation form. Enter the specific amount, not a percentage. If you want your donation distributed among the organizations, DO NOT use the “Additional Notes” section for this. Funds not assigned by the donor will be grouped together and divided among all organizations that we work with. If one or more organizations have a specific pressing need, the remaining organizations may elect to allow part or all of their unspecified share go where it is most needed.

The Clean Project has partnered with the Kitsap Community Foundation as our fiscal sponsor. As such, KCF provides 501(c)(3) nonprofit status to the Project, receives all donations made for the Project, and provides our donors with tax acknowledgements. Thank you, Kitsap Community Foundation!

“Donate To A Fund” lists organizations working with Kitsap Community Foundation not affiliated with The Clean Project.

“Event Tickets” lists upcoming events that Kitsap Community Foundation is holding, not affiliated with The Clean Project.

If you donate with a check, make the check payable to our 501(c)(3) partner, “Kitsap Community Foundation”. In the Memo section of the check, please write “Attention: TCP-Kitsap”. If you want to steer your donation in a specific direction/directions, please write your wishes on a “Sticky note” and attach it to the front of the check. Enter the specific amount, not a percentage. If you want your donation distributed among the organizations, DO NOT attach a “Sticky note”. Funds not assigned by the donor will be grouped together and divided among all organizations that we work with. If one or more organizations have a specific pressing need, the remaining organizations may elect to allow part or all of their unspecified share go where it is most needed.

85% of what you donate is passed on to the organizations we work with. The funds that reach these organizations are immediately available for use. 10% of donations cover the record-keeping and administrative costs, including IRS requirements. The remaining 5% covers The Clean Project expenses, and allows us to continue operating.
